Samsung hard drives are known for their reliability, good performance and attractive prices. MVI Data Recovery hardly ever sees current Samsung models (SP Series) for data recovery or system repairs. Occasionally we recover data from earlier models, for example the Wiener series, but earlier drives have been discontinued by the manufacturer. Samsung drives fail suddenly without any obvious catalyst. We have found with IDE models, that after two or three years of use, there is a problem in the service area. Hard disk diagnostics and recovery is very difficult because of the complex design of the Samsung drives. At MVI Data Recovery, we are constantly updating our hardware and software solutions to adapt to Samsung hard disk drives’ firmware. MVI Data Recovery recommends that regular backups be made for Samsung desktop and laptop drives.
