Partition Corruption

Hard disk drive (HDD) partitioning is the process of dividing up a disk into independent parts which share the same hardware. Within the individual partitions, users can use operating-system specific treatments without jeopardising other sectors of the disk. A partition may form part of a larger virtual drive, which can comprise of a number of hard disks. When a partition is formatted, deleted or lost, usually its partition table entry is removed from a table, the data remains on the disk until overwritten, and can be successfully recovered.

Booting from a disk partition for recovery is safe and secure with MVI, as we keep up to date on the best partition recovery for all manufacturers, including Acer, Advent, Asus, Toshiba and IBM (for example, ThinkPad laptops). Similarly, our data specialists work closely with Windows XP (for example, Access and Medion) and Vista, as well as Linux active partitions, for recovery and repair. Recovering partitions and files from corrupt or damaged NTFS or MBR boot sectors is not an impossible task: simply contact MVI Data Recovery for a free assessment of your partition repair.
